Recommended First Alternatives for Real Estate AI Visibility

Six different kinds of alternative, each good at something different. Read this as a routing guide rather than a sales page — for several of these situations we are the wrong choice.

A note on scale

Recommended First is a small independent operation with two published anonymized market benchmarks and no client case studies. We do not have a large customer base, and no review on this page is invented — there are none, because we have not collected any we are permitted to publish.

That is worth knowing before you compare us with established platforms. If a long customer list matters to your decision, several alternatives below have one and we do not.

The categories of alternative

Broad AI visibility platforms
Multi-industry software that scores brand presence across several answer engines. Strong on breadth, cadence and cost. Generally not modelled for local real estate prompts, competitor sets or brokerage entity problems.
Real estate marketing agencies
Websites, branding, listing marketing and lead generation for agents and teams. Strong on production and distribution. AI answer measurement is rarely their core discipline.
SEO / AEO / GEO agencies
Content and authority work aimed at search and answer engines. Strong on execution capacity. Whether they measure AI recommendations with a published denominator varies widely — ask.
Local-search platforms
Profile, listing and review management across directories and maps. Strong on consistency of name, address and profile data, which is a real input to entity clarity. They do not measure what AI answers say about you.
Manual research and spreadsheets
Asking the questions yourself and recording the answers. Genuinely useful, free, and the honest starting point. Falls down on repetition, denominators, citation capture and consistency over time.
Internal marketing teams
An in-house marketer running the measurement and the implementation. Strong on context and control. Needs a defined method and protected time, or it becomes a screenshot habit rather than a measurement.

Which alternative fits which situation

If this is your situationThe alternative we would point you to
Budget is the binding constraintManual research with a locked question set and a spreadsheet. Ask each question at least four times and record the date, the provider and the full answer.
You need breadth across enginesA broad AI visibility platform. We measure ChatGPT (OpenAI) only.
Your profiles and NAP data are inconsistentA local-search platform will fix that faster and cheaper than we will.
You need content produced at volumeAn SEO/AEO or real estate marketing agency has the capacity; we do not.
You want depth in one market with preserved evidenceThis is the case we are built for.

Directional guidance based on stated positioning, not on head-to-head testing.
